Why I Support Reach for Resources

Since joining the Board of Directors at Reach for Resources in October 2018, becoming Treasurer in 2019, and serving as Board Chair since 2020, I’ve seen firsthand the incredible impact this organization has on individuals and families in our community. As someone who works at HealthPartners, I’ve long believed in the importance of health, well-being, and support systems and Reach embodies all of these values in action.
I chose to serve on the Board because I believe in the power of community and our shared responsibility to support one another. Being part of a community is about more than just geography, it’s about showing up, sharing your time and talents, and stepping in when help is needed.
I’m committed to creating positive change, and I believe that each of us has a role to play in building a stronger, more inclusive, and compassionate community. Volunteering with Reach gives me the opportunity to contribute in a meaningful way, ensuring that people of all abilities have access to the resources and support they need to thrive.
While I gladly volunteer my time, I’m especially passionate about supporting Reach through financial contributions. To me, donating is one of the most direct and impactful ways to make a difference. It helps ensure that Reach can continue providing essential services to individuals with disabilities and mental health challenges, services that truly change lives.

We all have different ways of giving back. Some give time, some give resources. I choose to give both, with an emphasis on financial support, because I believe deeply that when we have the means to help, we should. Supporting Reach isn’t just about charity, it’s an investment in a future where everyone has the opportunity to reach their full potential.
