Volunteer Feature: Josh Zenner
Since the summer of 2018, Josh Zenner from JZ Productions, has been giving his time and talents to Reach. Back in 2018, Josh was searching for volunteer opportunities in the Twin Cities to give back to his community. At the time, Reach had an opening for an Adaptive Recreation Softball Coach and it was exactly what Josh was looking for in a volunteer opportunity.
Over the past five summers, Josh’s dedication to volunteering has extended beyond his role as a softball coach. He has generously contributed his time to various endeavors, such as being as an adaptive basketball coach and lending his talents as a photographer/videographer for Reach events. If you’ve been to our Bowl-A-Thon, Ghostly Gala or any of our other events, you’ve likely seen Josh in action. He’s the friendly face behind the camera, capturing unforgettable event moments or working the photo booth. As Josh says, “I wouldn’t trade this volunteer experience for anything.”
Josh finds volunteering with Reach immensely rewarding because it allows him to positively impact others’ lives. Not only does Josh capture memoriable moments through his camera but lets him hone in on his photography and videography skills.
Josh’s favorite thing about volunteering is, “Giving back to those who are need of some extra assistance in life. I enjoy the connections I make with the Reach staff as well. I’ve learned a lot in the last 5 years.”
In 2023, Josh recieved Reach’s “Volunteer of the Year” Award for being an outstanding volunteer who’s unselfish and dedicated services made a significant difference in the success of people Reach supports and our organization. Thank you Josh!
